4x ide buffered interface and scsi.device probs
History is simple :
Just got my CF adapter + 8Bg Kingston CF, if connected directly on the A1200 ide port ... work perfect ... i got on my startup-sequence : C:LoadModule devs/A1200IDE.scsi.device quiet reboot just to get >8Gb hd support (when i connect my 80Gb Ide HD) If connect this adapter on the 4x ide buffered interface from Amigakit ... booting ... loading scsi.device module .. rebooting and nothing !!! only Kickstart boot screen .. and nothing on early startup ... Anyway to correct this ? ps: PFS3 direct Scsi formatted |

Don't use IDEFix97 (IdeMax, as it is known nowadays) with CF devices.
Mount the HD in the same IDE channel (IDE0) with the CF set to master and HD as slave. Create a mount list for the HD and live with it. |

i don't use IDEFix97 , tested but tell me there are some read errors ... at this time just using AmiCDFS without newer scsi.device with only Cf adapter and my Slim CD-rom... but just want to know why lastest scsi.device is not working with 4x ide interface ... strange thing ...

Because you need LoadIDE (from IDEfix97~IDEmax package) to activate the second channel of the IDE controller/splitter.
And the IDEfix97 package will have a pink fit when it founds a CF hooked in.
