I registered here to thank you and everyone, while I have a small comment and question.

1. I think I have detected a small spelling mistake that made me sweat for 2 evenings: In your file "Needed Kickstarts.txt" you mention the following CRC32 needed:

kick40068.A4000 (Size: 512KB CRC: D68AE334)

I have been trying to get this ROM with this CRC among many releases floating around, but to no avail. Then out of despair, I created the CRC-32 for all the ROMs variations found and realised that your checksum could be wrong:

It should be B instead of digit 8 i.e. D6BAE334

Can you please confirm

kick40068.A4000  D6BAE334

and perhaps change the TXT file on your server (not the RAR obviously) and add it as Addendum.txt or similar?

2. Also, anyone, can you tell me if your A500 shuts down gracefully after exiting AGS v2.1 to the main console system and then via its native menu?

I do select to QUIT to the console environment (from within AGS 2.1 menu) but then when I select to SHUTDOWN the console, the red LED still keeps being illuminated; seems there's something that prevents the system from really shutting down gracefully, the next times I insert the SD card on a PC it keeps asking to "fix it" and run

chkdsk

as it was not "ejected properly".

I had waited 3-5 minutes to see if power red LED turns off, but no.

Could there be something I am doing "wrong" when exiting AGS? All settings are to default, to be honest, as I was browsing through AGS to find out more. Any ideas? Happening to you too?

1. Good spot on the CRC32. It was wrong. Probably my bad eyesight. I've updated the documents on the Mega & Turran FTP.

2. There isn't a fix for the power light. It happens all the time with the mods like AGS, Pandory and Aminimiga. It also sometimes happens with WHDLoad games as well. It's a bug in the carousel where a service doesn't shut down properly when Amiberry exits leaving the A500 mini stuck. The SD card issue happens because of linux not because of the shut down problem.

Thanks for confirming also the issue detected with the power LED. Not sure if Amiberry carrousel developer(s) are aware... perhaps fix... I am not aware if the version used in AGS is pretty recent or rather old, I admit.

So if I understand well, it's the console Linux OS that does not unmount the mounted USB drive? I thought it was caused by something related to AGS...

That's what I was referring to, really, when talking about "graceful shutdown", should have mentioned the un-mounting of disks. Apologies.

So all things considered (and with users not really removing the USB flash disk all the time) is there an issue running TheA500 Mini with not-properly-unmounted SD disk that's probably marked as "dirty" all the time? I mean, any issue regarding AGS of course.

P.S. Perhaps an option to offer a "Console Shutdown" menu from within AGS, could be a solution? Just wondering. Thanks again.

If you solder then making one of these is probably doable for about a tenner:

They work well and have low input latency.
