Would this work to mix CDDA on an A1200?

I have an Amiga 1200 in a desktop case with an internal ODD, however I want to try and mix the audio using the rear RGGL audio header.

Does anyone know if it would be possible to put a standard audio jack on the end of the RGGL connection and then use an external mixer to get the audio balance correct with the Amiga audio?

Thank you.

I've connected my CDR drive audio out this way to a mixer. From the mixer to the amplifier.
