AmiBench - It's Here! Again!

AmiBench is back!

After a long period of hibernation, the original Amiga marketplace is back online. We've got a new developer on board, so expect a lot of new features over the coming months, as well as an updated look for modern browsers.

I wouldn't get too excited, with your track record you'll be banned from there too pretty shortly.

But to BinoX, good luck with the revitalised site. Good to see it back again.

Thank you

Just for clarification, I am doing this in partnership/collaboration with Mark 'tecno' Wilson, the original owner

I'd also like to say that I have no problem with AmiBay, I have used it to buy and sell items and haven't had any problems. But I do know that some members of the Amiga community don't like using it and I believe this is where the new AmiBench should help.

My "track record" sure. I was a licensed Amiga vendor over 10 years, a NewTek distributor and repair business, and worked for Genesi for 2 years.

I sold 1 a1200 cpu card from amibay to someone in my amiga club and i got banned for life.

Yeah buddy I have a bad track record. WTF have you ever done for "Amiga"

this thread must be calmed down sirs, one thing i agree like someone said amiga hardware isnĀ“t getting big in any aspects, and i think that persons now that have been making hardware is because they put their hands on amiga schematics and start developing so many accelerator cards from many producers ,but one thing ,they are all the same ,just position off components on pcb is diferent so, i am in favour that persons produce his own hardware ,100 percent agree.
and if we are banned from sites we would still making good quality hardware for amiga fans and friends for making other happy even with a minimal cost.

I liked Amibench, my favorite feature was the view by country, so I can see what for sale in US.

You're right, I have never attempted to take other Amiga users for a ride.
I'm also able to let things go, and not bore the tits off people harping on like a broken record.
I also like your "Don't you know who I am!" attitude. Winner every time.

Didn't see Amibench in the past (Guess I missed it; before I got back into the Amiga), but looks good.
More sites are better..

And just initial reaction based on a quick browse, if Amibay is the e-bay for the Amiga (which isn't totally accurate, but for the purposes of this metaphor).. then this appears to be the Amiga's craigslist!

:-)

I would like to thank BinoX for being decent enough to make contact with me and ask if he could revive AmiBench. I am really pleased to see it bounce back so quickly and I cannot thank BinoX enough.

I do still have an interest in the Amiga Scene, afterall it gave me alot, A wife and now a daughter. Sadly I did not have the time to bring AmiBench back, but like I said in an email to BinoX, I did and still do have great ideas for the future of AmiBench.

I guess all I can say is thank you very much for the warm welcome back to Amiga-land.

Mark 'tecno' Wilson: team member of AmiBench

Good to see Amibench back and also you Mark. I remember years ago being in touch with you as we're both from Leicester and you used to meet up with fellow amigans but I never made it to one of your meets anyway good to see you and the site back.

I keep forgetting that Craigslist isn't more global (ala e-bay)...

While I was commenting more on the concept (I think I e-bay as more of an organized on-line swap meet or flea market and I think of Craigslist as more of an on-line buy/sell/trade board at your local supermarket), the fact is Craigslist (while sometimes having some of the best deals) has some of the most bizarre stuff.
There is very little moderation, so lots of things (adult services) are very popular and are constantly making the news around here...

That's not the comparison I was making, but I won't deny it's true on Craigslist..

..

..

er..

I mean.. That's what they say... In the news..
I don't have any firsthand knowledge.. um..

Look, it's Doomy!!!
