I just sync'ed Octamed V4 & V5 to Ableton Live on the Mac without too much issue. What version of Octamed are you using?

- SEND SYNC sends MIDI sync information that allows other devices to synchronize with OctaMED-Pro. - EXT SYNC allows OctaMED-Pro to be synchronized by the MIDI clock. Input must also be active when this is on. The synchronization only works while playing songs, not when using PLAY BLOCK or CONT. BLOCK. Last edited by oundfire99; 28 March 2021 at 11:54. |

I sometimes sync OctaMED to Logic. You are down the right track with setting OctaMED to EXT SYNC, MIDI on and INPUT on. I think OctaMED will only start if you send it MIDI clocks (not MTC Timecode) so you have to tell Ableton to send this format of MIDI sync message.
