Dark Theme

Can we, by any chance, get a dark theme for EAB??

Getting older, and all this white background is killing my eyes...

I browse EAB full-time with Dark Background and Light Text. Looks great.

You could also use Ibrowse and tell it to use fixed colors (which is what i did in the past).
Nevertheless I vote +1 for a dark eab skin. It would have at least two users

Why ?
The more brightness, the more the eyes get tired - i tell this by experience.
And nobody is forced to use it anyway.

After trying a dark theme, I have searched for other solutions.
There are plenty... I am still looking for the one that will please my eyes for all-day use but here is already a reading starting point :
- 10 ways to address eye fatigue
- Blue light and your eyes
- What is the best colour temperature
etc.
And a small program to help you adjusting your monitor. Hope it helps other "old" fellows around here

@Anubis:
What have you used to get the dark theme? I also prefer dark backgrounds instead of shine.

If you have Stylish/Stylem or similar addon installed you can use this script.
https://userstyles.org/styles/31267/...ything-to-dark

Comes in handy when my eyes start to spazz out.

I'd much like an "official" dark theme. Not a big fan of installing browser extensions just for one site

Me too. I think I wouldn't install browser extension for this.

It works on pretty much any website, eyes starting to "wear out", turn it on.

Oh and while on the subject, if any users here find the 800x600 forum layout at Lemon 64/Amiga annoying there's a way around that too.

@namespace url(http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml);

@-moz-document domain("lemon64.com") {
html body table,
html body table tbody tr td.bodyline table.forumline tbody tr td table.x_posttable tbody tr td.x_postcell div.postbody,
html body table tbody tr td.bodyline form table.forumline tbody tr td.row2 input,
html body table tbody tr td.bodyline form table.forumline tbody tr td.row2 span.gen table tbody tr td span.gen textarea
{
width: 100% !important;
}
}

For Lemon Amiga, replace lemon64.com with lemonamiga.com.
Then open forum directly, www.lemon64.com/forum/ and presto.

And that is exactly what I have done...

Extension 'Dark Background and Light Text' is what I used in above screenshot.

I also use Dark Youtube extension for a while now.

@Anubis: It's almost 2 weeks now that I am using f.lux (see my previous post #10). I think you should give it a try. I am more and more convinced that this is better than à 'dark theme'.
