CD32.co.uk - the rebuild project
Sadly my mega account was shut down (three complaints - Mortal Kombat, Jim Power, Breathless) so none of the downloads will be working. I don't really have the time or interest to get it all set up again and I'm not even sure I have all of the files anymore. I could maybe post some to the FTP server if there's any interest, and I'll put TimeGal somewhere.
Edit: Have started rebuilding the blog slowly. Here's the current state of things: Re-released
Compilation - unreleased
Solo - unreleased
Withdrawn

I think.. I just need some time to cool down, start buillding it from scratch again on a new Mega account. Maybe not every game, but the ones I reupload I'll try to improve in some way

For the sake of being careful the three I mentioned should not be uploaded I guess I kind of want to remake a lot of them now that I actually know how to code and can do better interfaces etc |

Really sad about this :/ But don't take the baby out with the bath water.

Hosting in the FTP sounds like a good idea to me. And worrying about these hits seems pointless too, those games are available absolutely everywhere already. You could also talk to people that have long running emulation sites to host the images, like PlanetEmu or else. |

what's funny is that anyone can share a CD compilation containing 200+ games, but if you do a nice box with 1 title, you have problems... (same was seen for Bitmap Brothers CD32 compilation)
and you can find those games on 34265 abandonware sites. It's just that they're not showcased as beautifully as it's done on cd32.co.uk... good luck to the project. It will continue anyway. |

@Akira @Jotd yeah it seems a little weird that my project was picked on specifically..
I think regardless I'll generally stick to more 'generic' releases from now on, with some exceptions. Maybe roll up some of the single releases into new compilations. I don't think either AmigaJay nor myself have had any problems with multipacks that don't highlight specific games or companies. |

Why not simply torrent the files?

Never upload files with the original names such as Mortal Kombat, Jim Power, Breathless, it's the same as people doing Zelda games sadly . Upload with names such as MK zip or JIMP Zip

Just use any/all of the big public trackers. Once some people have the files even if the trackers go offline the torrents could just be put on other trackers and the links updated and you still have your seeders who have the files. This would of course require some volunteers seeding forever or a seedbox could be used (if one could be paid for).

Take your time. Maybe the freeware/PD games could be put on Mega again. The rest could be distributed via torrent, and removed individually if requested.
