Cannot get connected with PCMCIA WiFi card
Hello,
I got OS 3.9 and apollo 1260 and prism2 AirLancer MC11 card. And Miami. And everything else. 1. I installed new prism drivers with WPA support. During installation, I prompted my network name and password 2. I added C:SetPrism2Defaults SSID xxxxx KEY xxxxxxxxxx into user startup and got Error - Unknown Command C:SetPrism2Defaults during loading. (naturally, I replaced xxxxx with real values - just in case) So, how do I basically tell my password and network name to Amiga? Last edited by Kppot; 01 September 2018 at 19:46. |

Ah, right okay, I am an idiot. Since prism2v2 has WPA support it generates a key (which I do hope stored somewhere).
So to the next move. Miami cannot see dynamic IP address and DNS, so I input it myself, it went "Online", however, Aweb browser says it cannot resolve any host name (like aminet.net) The main problem is that my router says there were no additional clients, but my phone and my PC. Hi. Your card supports only WPA/TKIP. It's an Orinoco Gold clone. It's the same for Thomson SpeedTouch 110 - WPA/TKIP only.
Set your router to WPA/TKIP - no mixed mode, no WPA/WPA2. It has to be WPA/TKIP. Also, set B/G or B/G/N mode. These cards support WPA2/AES: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/163233969669 Last edited by Sir_Lucas; 01 September 2018 at 22:05. |

Right so I got only WAP-PSK with TKIP encoding, like this
http://joxi.ru/KAxbR8wTMLKx9m I turned TKIP instead of AES, no success though |

Yes, you've got WPA/TKIP. Do you have B/G or B/G/N as well?

Your router options look pretty all right. Have a look around. You may have the option to set it up - B/G mode or B/G/N.

Do you think apart from that everything else works fine, with static IP and DNS? How can I check that?

Leave it B/G for now. Great, now we are getting somewhere.
Install the drivers once again - http://aminet.net/package/driver/net/prism2v2 After installing the drivers reboot your Amiga. Once you get it running and back at Workbench screen edit your User-startup sequence. Put a semi-colon in front of: ;run <>NIL: C:wirelessmanager prism2.device it should look like that. Save and reboot your Amiga once again. After rebooting open your CLI and type in: C:wirelessmanager prism2.device Here's how it should look like: [ Show youtube player ] |

Congratulations!! You've got yourself associated with your router using WPA/TKIP.
Now, you need the proper tutorial for the MiamiDX. Have a look here: [ Show youtube player ] Use prism2.device instead of 3c589.device Remember, first you have to associate with your router using CLI: C:wirelessmanager prism2.device Then run MiamiDX. Let me know if it works |

You've got Miami installed. My video tutorial is for the MiamiDX.
Install MiamiDX and try once again: http://aminet.net/package/comm/tcp/MiamiDx10cmain http://aminet.net/package/comm/tcp/MiamiDx10c-MUI http://www.fatcat.vispa.com/keyring/...iamiDXKeys.lha You are nearly there |

Can you do Query? Do the digits change? Also what's your MTU? It should be 1500.
Last but not least, do you have CardPatch and CardReset installed? C:CardPatch run >NIL: C:CardReset TICKS 50 Put it on top of your Startup-Sequence http://aminet.net/package/util/boot/CardPatch http://aminet.net/package/util/boot/CardReset |

yes, they do when I set up "new hardware", but once setted up, they do not change. If I remove hardware and create new, they do change with query, and then again stops
Mine is 1452 my ISP recommends exactly that number, while Miami tells me sana-II drivers have MTU 1500 (query window) Quote:

Your Gateway address is wrong. You have 255.255.255.0 but it should be something like 192.168.0.1. Check in Windows by typing ipconfig at a command prompt.
