Vga switcher question
There is a 4 way vga switcher that does not need a power cable. There is another one that does need a power cable.
What's the deal? Is the one with the power cable somehow better for the signal? |

Most likely the powered one will not degrade the signal as much.

Yeah, the one with the power cable likely uses electronic switches instead of mechanical, resulting in better transmission. It might also have things like automatic switching, and if it also has a keyboard switch, it might support switching with keyboard shortcuts.
