I'm still playing around with my iCade, played through a neat little game called Super Drill Panic... done in a retroish, pixellated style.
Pretty fun, but sadly it uses a now defunct service for archievements and such, it's a shame the game wasn't updated after that.

This is actually a port to the iPad from the Android version, and it seems the Android version has gotten many more updates.

I recently played a nice little horror puzzler (flash game). It's called Lakeview Cabin and you can play it here for example.

I think the game is very well made with fine pixel graphics and you are able to do some crazy stuff... but you have to find out yourself.
Highly recommended, especially for Halloween.

Now that I've recently purchased a new wired xbox360 controller (it's see-though and lights up!) that is strictly mine (for my laptop) and not for my kids to "borrow" for the xbox360 console, I've restarted Splinter Cell Conviction as playing this game with my old Logitech PC controller was a nightmare.

I've been looking at a (wired) controller for the PC too and the XBox360 one was the only one that I really considered buying; the pickings are slim. How does it work for you?

The 360 controller is pretty good, been using it for about a year now.
One big advantage is many games are mainly compatible with the 360 one.

The one bad thing about it (IMO) is the dpad is pretty bad... it's often difficult to not press diagonally by mistake.

The battery life for the wireless one is pretty good btw.. I first went with a wired one, but the wire got caught up in my armchair got totally ruined.

Before I bought the 360 controller, I mainly used the keyboard... I could never go back to that now.

I'll get an XBox360 controller for too. Like laffer said too many PC games rely on it and emulating it just doesn't cut it most of the time.

xbo360 controller makes things easier without having to configure button setup for every game although you may have to with older PC games. I did hit a glitch with Splinter Cell Conviction though; the Select and Shoulder button were switched (Select ended up being fire weapon!) but a quick Google search revealed a known fix for it. Other than that - no complaints at all. Would thoroughly recommend as it's Plug and Play.

@laffer - I had been used to the PS1/PS2 controller for years and then, like you, got used to playing PC games with the keyboard and then a Logitech joypad. Took me a while to get used to the xbox controller because of the analog sticks being offset compared to the PS2 dualshock controller but perseverance paid off.

A few days ago I finished Space Quest on my a500 and yesterday I finished SQ2 - I'm still loving Sierra Quest games all these years later! :-)

Old Sierra adventure games are some of my favourite games of all time, easily.

By the way, I would NOT recommend playing SQ4 on the Amiga, it's one of the worst ports of a fame I've seen.

Yeah SQ4 looks abysmal!! Why they couldn't have done it using AGA I'll never figure out, the colour palette is so washed out!!

By that stage I had my own C= 386sx25 8mb with SandBlaster and cd-rom so I played the PC version.

C= really FK'd up not making external SCSI standard on the a1000 and a500's etc and including CD-ROM support - they had Multimedia machines before anyone even coined the term!!!

Btw I fired up SQ3 on my Amiga 500 and the PC version in Dosbox (running in a VM in my Mac) with my Roland MT-32 Synth for an SQ comparison and I must say I was super impressed with how close the Amiga was to the MT-32 for music quality .. Unsurprisingly It was actually better than the MT-32 for sound effects.

I also fired up the PC cd-rom edition of sq4 with MT-32 + SandBlaster and it was pretty damned amazing, digital samples + LAS music synth is a great combo, such a shame commodore utterly failed to capitalize on the cd-rom format!!!

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes. Ahem. I find myself quite addicted to it. All the characters have different abilities so it certainly expands on the previous LEGO games. Doesn't take much to amuse me....

I enjoy lego games... for about a day or two and then the repetition sets in :/ I completed the Lego Harry Potter games front to back trying to get as close to 100% as possible, but games like Lego Star Wars and Lego Lord of the Rings... they just get immensely boring after a while :/

I guess I'm done with the fact that you basically need to complete the entire game story before you can go back to previous levels and complete them 100%. I need a lego game that is totally open right from the beginning.
