WTD: Competition Pro / Zipstick Joysticks

Hi guys! I've just signed up to this site in the hope that anybody out there has any joysticks to make Sensi playing experience fulfilled!

I'm after any original Competition Pro joysticks (not the reissues, 9-pin or USB) and any original Zipsticks. I live in the UK and can Paypal funds over to you.

I'm currently building my own 9pin > USB converter and need that feel of the mid 90s back again!

So, let me know what you have got and hopefully we can sort something out!

Thanks!

These sticks are really common... just try eBay for a while - something will turn up.

Hi

Thanks - just getting back into my Amiga after all these years - I'm a bit of a SWOS freak and could play that game all day, but I need to play it with the classic controllers - hence why I'm after them!

The hack will only be patching back into a USB controller from a 9-pin (based on this > http://www.vilminko.net/henri/projvi...?id=19&lang=en ) but I'll take some pictures of it and hopefully post it around a few forums!

In the meantime, the request still stands for the j'sticks!!

Indeed, but 3 days ago you could. It cost 30-35 US $, iirc.

I have Competition Pro sticks, Quickshot Pro sticks, a Gravis Ultra, along with other Miggy joysticks.

Talk nicely to me and who knows.....

You can catch me on here or at Amibay.

I have a few Competition Pro joysticks as well. I have to test them but I'm sure I've got one or two working ones...

The Competition Pro was never my thing really, I prefer the Quickshot Python 1 myself...

Retro-Nerd and Zetr0, I believe that the Stelladaptors are made in small batches. I've looked a few times over the years and never seen stock. Having long ago 'decided' (ha!) that I wouldn't bother with such a thing, I found myself browsing the AtariAge forums at the end of last year. One day later, I was browsing the on-line store and a day after that... I'd placed an order for the Stelladaptor! They regularly appear, it seems. Following the order, Al sent a few e-mail updates and the package was dispatched within a day - even though it was New Year's Eve. To my surprise (given that it was the New Year/holiday period), it had crossed the Atlantic just a few days later and I'm pleased to say that it has served me well, lovely little thing that it is.

For anyone interested, do note that with the adapter having been designed with old Atari controllers in mind, only a single joystick button will work - worth keeping in mind if you have certain multi-button games or non-Amiga emulation in mind. Oh yeah, and the price was $34.95 (USD) plus the delivery charge.

Thanks to all those that have repsonded, appropriate PMs have been sent.

I have see the Stelladaptors, and they look alright - P&P to the UK is quite expensive though which soon ramps up the cost. I've got hold of an old USB gamepad and with the addition of a 9pin socket and a bit of soldering and time hopefully I can get something usable happening! More of a personal project than anything! Think it'll be nice and easy to add in multi button emulation too. I'll let you know how it goes, in the meantime anyone else who can help me feel free to drop me a PM.

Oh yeah, if anyone has a Cheetah Bug joystick they no longer need I'd be interested in those too!
