anyone has one for sale? ps. even the metal shell will do, I hacked the shell from mine to do a useless atx psu mod... I still have the insides that worked fine! thanks! |

I've got two spare ones here... but the make horrible noises (need new fans) and are full of dust... if you have no luck (and if I can find them) I may be pursuaded to sell.

Check my "for sale" thread if you want anything as well! lol Are they ok apart from the fan/dust - they go at full power. Many thanks. I will have a look and see if i can find any myslef, if not then i'll get back to you.

I've no idea... they were pulled from dead A4000's with unrepairable battery damage.
What I noticed was unusual is that there are at least 3x different makes of A4k PSU. |

the 2nd psu I got is made by Lite-ON and is 151.6W instead of the 145W on my other A4000 that has a yellow label...

Are the 4000 psu's custom made or something? Shame you can't make one out of a Peecee ATX jobbie

the problem is not the converter, but the low quality (and tolerance of PC hardware) of current atx psu's... they just fail to deviver above +4.86v at the +5v line... amiga just won't work with 4.85 and below.
