Unpack DiskExpander-packed files?

Hi,

there was a program which Stefan Ossowski's "Schatztruhe" (english: "treasure chest") used for getting more programs/games on their disks, called DiskExpander.

I'd be interested in unpacking these files so that you do not need DiskExpander anymore (it's obsolete, pack all files with Imploder/PP and you shouldn't have problems in getting them on a disk; if not, use FastFileSystem!)

I hex-edited the executables, and found clear references to usage of XPK, yet it was impossible to unpack the programs using xfddecrunch, let alone xUp.

Why doesn't this work?

Amiga Session 3 which contains three budget (but NOT PD) games is in the zone.

hmmm i played with DiskExpander making my own compressed disk. Maybe that tool you can create those disks with can also unpack them. Only problem is that it's 10+ years back in time i used it and i can't remember more right now, sorry.

I have a copy of DiskExpander if you need it? I can make an ADF and Zone it for you if you like - there is a tool to decrunch files on there.

Well, I'd mainly be interested in unpacking them with "standard software," but nor do I want to be subject to the proverb "don't look a gift horse in the mouth."

So *when* you want to adf your copy, just answer back here. It really need NOT be done overnight - easy does it.

Hows 8 mins?

I agree with you that it 'should' be possible with standard software. It does seem to use the normal XPK libs. So no, I don't think 'you want the moon on a stick' in this case

But as I knew where the disk was and I had a couple of mins it's now in the zone.
