demos with extension .xcd - how to unpack??

Can anybody help me plz? I have found two files on the BTTR-server with the extension .XCD - They should be adf-files, but they seem to be packed with a "rare" kind of packer! WinUAE does (as expected) not except these XCD-files as diskimages, so they have to be unpacked manually. But what kind of packer can be used for it? I have analysed the files with a hex-editor: Both files start with the ASCII-String "CDF0...................O........CYL1.. ". I will put the files into the zone, hope anyone can give me a useful hint or can unpack the files for me. thankyou so much!

Try using xfdmaster.library - unpacks just about any known compressed-file-format on the amiga. Get it on Aminet or google it up.

Hi Npl, thank you for the hint with the xfdmaster-library; I have downloaded it and tried to decrunch each of the .xcd-files with the xfddecrunch-command, but it didn't work; I always get the errormessage "Not crunched", and xfddecrunch aborts. Renaming the files didn't help, too. Obviously, the xfdmaster-library can't read the specified format. Furthermore, I also tried using "standard-packers" like WinRAR for Windows and tar, gunzip etc. with Linux, but none of them could find the right fileformat. It seems to me that someone has used a "selfmade" kind of "packer" or that the files are simply corrupt :-( Anyway, thank you for support. If anyone has another idea, i would be thankful for a solution.

Toni, you were right! It worked! Wonderful, thankyou so much! I exchanged the two files (now as zip-archives) with the files I uploaded before in the zone for those who might be interrested in them and who might have had the same problems like me using them. The second disk of the "trilogy demo" seems to be missing on BTTR, but anyway... - great hint, Toni, thanks again!!
