usb tv card/tuner to display amiga output in osx?

Hi!

We are planning to crossdev for the Amiga under osx with the help of vbcc and a tool called rlaunch, this let's us use xcode to write the code, and the resulting binary gets sent and executed on the amiga via the network.
Really comfy, however, one thing that would make it absolutely awesome would be a usb tvtuner that would let us display the amigas output in a window in osx.

Does anyone know of a usb tv card that works with the amiga and is compatible with osx?

Do they drop frames?

I connect the Amiga's composite and audio to an Elgato Hybrid USB, and use their EyeTV software on my MacBook. It also has antenna input, and S-video which probably gives the best quality. It cost me about €100 but I'm sure there are cheaper tuners and free software that do the same.

Picture is not crisp, but perfectly acceptable, and you can clearly make out individual lowres pixels. Hires+interlaced looks fine and can be de-interlaced to remove flickering. I'm not sure if it captures 25 or 50 FPS. Here's a 720x576 MPEG-capture, it's slightly stuttery and mangled due recording and being put on YouTube, and looks somewhat sharper and runs smoother when viewed live:

If 200$ doesn't sound crazy, check out the Blackmagic Intensity Pro.

http://www.blackmagic-design.com/products/intensity/ <-- PCI-E expansion card + breakout cable (scroll down).

You will need something that converts the Amiga's RGB signal to Component video:
