New Carrier Command
Hello EAB!
My brother just sent me this. I must say that I am quite surprised, I didn´t think anyone still remembered Carrier Command these days. I don´t know if it´s going to be any good, but I wanted to share the ”news” with you guys. /Andreas |

I tend to feel that remakes are fairly pointless 99% of the time because good or bad, the newer experience never captures that true essence of what we remember in the original - in truth that's impossible though anyway i think
This new one might even be a good game but it's never going to be the same |

The screenshots were released for the first time 3 days ago. Admittedly teaser video is last year.

@Adropac2
Pinball Dreams & Pinball Fantasy remakes on the iPhone & iPod Touch are pretty awesome. |

Yes Alexh as a game i think the concept could be taken further and of course it would look fantastic these days.Mind you the visual side too CC on Amiga although basic as you would expect(Amiga did have better looking 3d i suppose) , did a great job at 100% convincing me i was in a real enviroment at the time
Sequels can occasionally be done right so who knows |

It's when games get reworked they can often be made worse such as Sentinel when that went over to ps1 - mind you that's only what iv'e heard about that particular conversion |

God, I hope this still has the same open-ended gameplay that the original had. Go anywhere, set up islands for supply lines, engage, withdraw, etc.
But I bet it goes the scripted mission route, and becomes all console-samey D. |

you could set up supply lines?
I never did get into the game, I was thoroughly confused with it. I was already happy if I could blow something up before sinking :s |
