From what i remember from a mail i sent him, the amiga full version is stored on a microdrive DAT tape..... :
look at this (reply from him in 2008) : " Hi Dennis, LOL this game is really old now....I would need to go in my attic to find the tape, but I am pretty sure I have it somewhere. Getting to Assemble would be a joy I guess. Best regards. Ade" ------------------------------ "Hi Dennis, Thankyou for your email and the offer of some genuine french cuisine. I will try and find some time to retrieve the DAT tape ASAP. No I don't work for Rockstar North anymore I now run My Own Games Development Studio. Although we do occasionally do work for Rockstar. I will keep you informed of any further developments. Best regards Ade" --------------------------------------- "Hi Dennis, Yes I would be happy to send you the "Dat Tape". However I am very busy at the moment with other projects and milestones. I ask for your patience while I find the time to actually look for the Dat Tape. Best Regards Ade" I have tried to sent him a mail, i'll see if he answers me. Last edited by dlfrsilver; 20 July 2014 at 03:31. |

Great news. Hopefully the game will be available for our great machine. I like the demo.

It seems we can live in hope that the full game which was completed finds its way into the hands of fans. This could have been the best SEU on the Amiga.

I think it looks good - and scrolling ok - is it any good?
I guess it cant be hardware scrolling with the score at the side of the screen? unless the score board is a sprite? people complain on youtube that its not full AGA but you wouldnt get that speed with software scrolling on 68000 Last edited by Retro1234; 26 July 2016 at 21:36. |

This said, putting the score on the side is definitely not the brightest of ideas. This was probably lifted from the Jaguar version, unless maybe it was the reverse? I would love to play a great Raiden port on the Amiga as well but at this stage it is pretty clear that I would have to write it myself. Edit: forget the second paragraph, it does not look like the Jaguar version at all and was probably unrelated to it. Also for those who want to play the game, DotEmu has made an officially licensed version which is available on PCs, Macs and mobiles. It is not polished as it could have been but the game is perfectly emulated and plays great. Also note that Seibu Kaihatsu, the (small) company who created the series was repurchased by its employees and continues making Raiden games so they are worth supporting.
