A500 - plastic between shielding and circuit board

This A500 I’m putting back together has tape on the plastic liner that goes between the RF shielding and the main circuit board, covering the ventilation slots.

Is this normal?

My plastic liner has no slots at all. Probably a "bug" from Commodore.
The bottom ventilation slots are basically for show.

I see now that it's the same with the new repro ones you can buy, so I'll leave the tape in place.
