So anyone playing the new Riamel Black Prophecy release will know that it if its not installed on hard drive, it is an utter disk swapping nightmare.

Even just to play the game it can take 8 swaps, which really does spoil the gaming potential of the game.

This didn't escape the notice of ROSS, who decided to do something about it.

Attached to this message is a newly created 2 disk version for floppy users, which should significantly improve matters for those that use floppy drives or goteks.

Tested on the following configurations (two active disk drives):

A500 KS1.2 (512KB chip-ram + 2MB fast-ram)
A500 KS1.3 (512KB chip-ram + 1.8MB slow-ram)
A500 KS3.1 (512KB chip-ram + 1.8MB slow-ram)
A500+ KS2.0 (1MB chip-ram + 512KB slow ram + 1MB fast ram)
A600 KS3.1 (1MB chip-ram + 2MB fast ram)
A1200 KS3.0 (2MB chip-ram + 4MB fast ram)
A4000 KS3.1 (2MB chip-ram + 64MB fast ram)

As you can see, all kickstarts and all processors are catered for.

Please note: If you have an active virus killer that complains about the boot block, DO NOT INSTALL over it!!!!! Ross does lots of stuff in the bootblock before memory is filled by the OS, to determine if this 2 disk version will run on your configuration.

Cracktro has been updated with music as there is now room for it.

Thanks to Ross for doing this, whilst it might take a while to load up initially, you'll sure appreciate it during gameplay not having to constantly swap disks!

My job took me five minutes, took me longer to find icon.library than it did to crack it!

I have two three disk versions and a four disk version.
The fourth disk seems to be the save dir and a load of pre-saves in there. The installer doesn`t ask for a fourth disk.

there is a confusing errata in text version manual about save folder of hard disk installation.

at first entry of mention, it says "create a sub directory in the name of 'PROSAVE'."
in second entry, it says 'DDOSAVE'. but this is simple typo or i suppose OCR tool's failure.
(i have compared to pdf version and found the font being too roundy for OCR tools to read properly.)

correct name is "PROSAVE"

The font is weird in the manual ( physical one I have ) and it`s definitely PROSAVE.
Maybe this refers to disk 4? Which has a load of saves on it.. I guess it`s a cheat.
Disk 4 has a PROSAVE dir on it and 9 files. ( rss1, animsc, rss2, flmsk, rss3, frtwl, sdwls, objsc and swmsk )
PROSAVE dir has 21 saves in it.

i have created simple WHDLoad version from unprotected 2 disk version.
it uses generic kick3.1 slave. including text manual and world map (720x600)

if anyone wanted, i will upload it to the Zone.
