having problems with AB-TA... WinUAE (latest) will not reconize disk 4... using both A500 & A1200 config... has anyone tested this with latest version of WinUAE?

Works for me with .22R3 but odd things happen :

- In the beginning, I have to insert disk 4 after disk 1, and there is no prompt, but a decrunching screen mixed with the team 17 logo
- Whe I loose the last life of my first game, If I start a new game it won't load...

???

I had the original, it did that on the real hardware, wonder why? It might be something to do with choosing pad instead of stick, I think it used to do that if you chose pad, but forgive me if I'm wrong, my memory is a little hazy.

I think that no known cracked version every worked 100%

I have a couple of guru on a real A1200 in some distinct tower.

I tested both Tosec version

These gurus happens on the original 'non-cracked' version?

How about HD DOS version or WHDLoad. It works perfectly!

Well i definately can't use the WHD version with as little ram as my miggy has

You sure there isn't a version somewhere which you could run on 2MB and not have crash problems when you get to a certain point.

Then use DOS version. It needs only 2 MB

Is that in Tosec? I never noticed you could HD install it. And if there's problems with the disk version surely there'll be problems with the version installed from disk.

1.It isn't in tosec yet.
2.I think not but if you want I can upload this game to your e-mail box. Upload to the zone doesn't working on my computer... and WHDLoad wersion of this game also needs only 2Mb to work(but it's not comfortable - flashing screen). Can be also uploaded as well.

Also if You want you can contact BippyM on www.total-amiga.com (Emu-Uk forum) and ask ftp access. You can find Tower Assault in several different versions Disk, DOS, DOS CD32. Just ask and wait.

I were just browsing through my HDGames dir and noticed this thread. I can upload that version if anyone needs it. I've just tested it and confirm it works well. It does seem to have some sort of loader like whdload, it's probably not pure AmigaDos.

In the zone. Can anyone tell me for sure, what method this game uses to load? I'm organizing and renaming my HD game directories.

i have a basic WB3.0 install, no whdload etc.... and Alien Breed TA works... have you tested in full (i can't understand why it only has disk1.img and disk3.img, where is disk2.img) or i am i missing something?!?!?!?

L1CS is 514kb in size so I guess it's disk 2 but we can't be sure. I just entered the first building, didn't test any more.
