fullscreen toggle on mac

Hello,
I'm using FS-UAE 2.6.2 on two different mac's. One macbook pro with 10.11 installed and one mini mac with 10.9.5 installed.
On both systems I can switch from windowed mode to fullscreen. But not from fullscreen back to windowed mode. I've tried both cmd + enter and f11+f. The only way to get out off the fullscreen mode is with cmd + q.

Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?

Regards,
crashdog

Hi LuMan,
doesn't work for me on neither system. Only same as F11+f changes from windowed to full but not back.

ALT+ENTER works for me on 2.6.2. However, the later dev versions use CMD+F.

Hmm.. Interesting.. I notice that I'm actually using 2.6.1 on my macbook pro i5 retina.

A quick sanity check proves it still works for me. I may download 2.6.2 and see what happens..

EDIT: Just downloaded 2.6.2 and it still works OK for me. I have to hit the Fn-Alt-F11-F combo in a particular order, as I'm running OS X 10.10.5 and F11 also pops up the desktop view. But that aside, toggling between fullscreen and window works every time.

You've probably already tried this, but have you messed about with other combos, like using cmd instead of alt?

Also, be sure that you've not got some sort of odd keyboard joystick assignment set, as this seems to take priority and the emulator won't pick it up.

Interessting indeed. I've disabled anything that i found that could remotely use F11 and F12 on both systems. Toggling to fullscreen works as mentioned earlier. So basically the key-combination works. just not when in fullscreen mode. The fs-uae logfile does not indicate anything.
I will try to paralell install 2.7.dev and see if cmd+F does any better.
@LuMan, I think we actually have the same macbook pro. Just bought mine about a month ago. It has 16 GB memory and Intel HD 6100. The mini mac is from 2009 (but could actually still be a 2008 model).

Cheers,
Crashdog

it's the same with 2.7.5dev once in fullscreen mode there's no turning back. Except cmd+q. This can't be a key-combination issue.

Hi Crashdog. No, your macbook is better than mine!!

Mine's the mid-2014 model with 8GB RAM. I hope you also have the one with a proper HDD, and not the bloody stupid, proprietary SSD that has a daft connection that I got. I've only got 128GB SDD and I can't upgrade the damn thing

I've got 512 GB SSD but not sure which one. I think it's replacable. I still have 90% space left. Eventough I've got 5 VMs installed.

But to get back to on topic... at least your macbook switches back to windowed mode in fs-uae

Just can't figure out what's the deal with that.
I've event tried to find a e-uae intel version somewhere to see if it works there. I know I used it 'bout two or three years ago. But curently can only find ppc versions out there. Probably have it on some usb stick somewhere.

Crashdog ... Bark ! Bark ! Crash !

Hi, the latest dev version (2.7.8dev) defaults to a slightly different fullscreen mode by default. You could give that a try!

Didn't see your post before now. So I've downloaded the 2.7.11dev (x86_64) and just to let you know it fixed the issues of not returning from fullscreen on all my 3 macs.
