Had that problem with my CSPPC when I had the wrong type of PFS3 filesystem on my boot partition

Some "030" versions of software require the NOMMU tooltype. Perhaps that is it? Sometimes you have to use the 020 version.

If you had the wrong kickstart 3.1 chip for your hardware, or perhaps a homebrew one you may have files in it which are not EC030 compatible?

You showed me photo's of a KS40.70 which is really just for an A4000T.

There was 40.70 for A3000 and A4000 when VillageTronic initially released OS 3.1. But those versions had problems with some accelerator boards and with some hard drives, thus the step back to 40.68 was taken
Beg / Borrow / Steal another set?

I do not understand how the eflash works. I have always been curious to know. If anyone can explain it to me I would appreciate it.

If you can boot an Amiga with no physical kickstart chips in the sockets, but an eFlash in a zorro slot, then YES it probably will help.

But I feel that the Zorro bootstrap routine lives in the real kickstart ROM.

How much it needs before the eflash takes over and where the incompatibility is in the Kickstart ROM I dont know.

Might be worth contacting Motorollin on Amiga.org and see if he can help you, he's recently been creating "homebrew" kickstart 3.9's. At the very least he may help you a with a "backup" KS3.1 40.68

Redrumrola is also another good Amiga.org man to talk about kickstarts to. He wrote the Romulus and Remus tools that Motorollin was using.

@keropi Can you dump the output of ShowConfig ? So we can see if this guru happens inside your eflash cards memory.

@alexh According to http://amiga.resource.cx/exp/search....flash&company= the eflash card is an autoconfig card, so I guess it simply adds it's memory during autoconfiguration to the adresslist which exec uses to look for rom modules.

@rgen: eflash is DISABLED... it is just installed and nothing more...
showconfig does not give any info about the error, only strange thing it is it reports an MMU on my EC030....

kickflash is way better, but E3B has mine to check it with subway

Which means that it needs some of the REAL Kickstart ROM to work and any problem/bug in the Kickstart ROM *might* still be present.
