Is there a self-test of the SCSI on a CS-PPC? without a scsi dev on?
Obviously when removing the csppc from his amiga, the seller I got it from, made something clamsy and seems like something fell and hit on some pins of the scsi chip. Luckily I saw it, fixed some pins that where contacting (I still wait for my 4000D) but I cannot say for sure if two of them are making contact on the solder points on the pcb... from the 2 pins one looks like it goes nowhere and the other on a small 3-4mm trail away from the chip... the damage is between the scsi chip and the 060... totally inaccesible place! so is there a self-test or something on the csppc? because I won't have my scsi cables etc for another week or so...
if it does not work I am thinking of returning the board back. The pic on the auction clearly shows NO damage there , and I received it well packed. also this is a place where it cannot be damaged in shipping, because there are much higher components around that area... seller has been informed and he insists that it is 100% working and that I should use it right away... heh... |
