How much should I ask for Amiga 3000D?

My Amiga is not seeing any use by me so I'd like it to go to someone who will use it but I have no idea of its value so was hoping somneone might give me a ballpark figure?

PAL Amiga 3000, 25MHz with CoPro. 2meg chip, 4 meg fast. A quantum fireball hard drive (40MB I think), Amiga 3000 keyboard (yellowed), Tank mouse (not yellowed).

Barrel battery replaced with coin cell. There was a bit of leakage but no damage done.

Flicker fixer has an issue in that there's a pinkish colour cast in Hires interlaced mode when the flicker fixer switch is on. Productivity and doublepal modes are all fine.

Taxan 770Plus LR Multisync monitor.

Case is in excellent condition, no damage, all original screws etc.

So, how much should I ask for this? I've tried to see how much they go for on eBay etc. but it's really difficult as they don't appear very often.

Thanks in advance for any help/advice.

Put it on eBay on low bid start price and let the price rise.
People in forums like these are usually -users- who will not pay top, insane prices for items like -collectors- would.

If you just want to sell it fast-ish here on the forums, a reasonable price for an A3000 + keyboard with some small faults is somewhere in the €300-€400 range (about the same in pounds or dollars). But if you want to get the most out of it, eBay is indeed the option to go for.

A3000 UK keyboards sell for approx £120 on their own because they are so rare (USA and GER not so much)

If you ask me those prices are hyper-inflated but supply and demand. Can't argue with it.

The thing is, that on a site like eBay, it could go for several hundred more, offsetting eBay's fees immediately and still making a killing. Of course this depends on the item and the condition, and how eager the collectors are during the time of your auction :P

It really depends what you want to do with the item.

I like a good deal as much as anyone but I have a hard time thinking of many of the EBay selling prices as inflated. If you compare the inflated selling price to the price that the item cost when new you are still far ahead. As an example if you buy a 1965 car in near mint condition it will sell for far more than the car sold for when new. Most collectable items I think this is the case.

And I believe a person covers the 13% EBay fees very easily in most cases. If you hire an auctioneer to sell items for you at an auction you are paying twice that amount or more to a much smaller group of buyers.

Seriously? I have a UK A3000 keyboard. Never owned an A3000 (only A500, A2000 & A4000). I guess I acquired it somewhere. Part number 313323-01, serial 9102.

The label fell off the bottom, guess I should take good care of it

Paypal has always been a scandal especially as ebay own it! The good thing at least with eBay is they run regular fee reductions, the last was just this weekend gone with a limit of £3 per item no matter how high it sold for. So still possible to get a good price on there and not get ripped off.

eBay hasn't owned PayPal for over 2 years. They spun it off in 2015.

But if you want to get the most out of it, eBay is indeed the option to go for.
