one hint nobby : when i meet a floppy which show errors, i open the disk, and i clean the magnetic surface with a woman eyes cleaner (demak'up) in cotoon, on which i apply 70% alcohol, then i use it on the magnetic surface to clean it. Once done, the alcohol evaporates, then i use a dry demakup cotoon disk to wipe the surface of the magnetic disc one side at a time.

With this method, i have been able to get perfect dumps out of disks that were like fucked up at the start.

I use this terrific method on every disks i get or buy that are bitrotted.

the chance to get the content read correctly is beyond 98%.

I uploaded the following raw tracks dumped from a friend's Kryoflux:
AF 86a - XP8 demo & Breed 96
AF 87b - Toyland Capers & Tutankahmun
AF 88b - Herman, Kumquat demo & Worms custom levels

The original disks are from another friends, so I'm not sure if they are modified or not. Interesting that mine are separate raw tracks, while Nobby's are a single raw file. Mine are also huge in file size compared to Nobby's.

I also have CU Amiga 137, 149, and 165 dumped. Can upload if needed.

Single RAW files are created by KryoFlux. Single RAW files originate from KF Free on the Amiga. These are of lower resolution. In case data needs to be repaired or other edge cases, only the former can be used.

The image format that Codetapper is receiving is the "CT Raw Image" which can be selected in the drop down menu in the interface (or as a parameter if you're using the CLI version)

Probably OK! Amiga Action 35 (Aug 1992) Disk 1 - Dojo Dan, Steg the Slug
(track 80.1 shows 97% likely MFM data = Nobby_UK)
BAD! Amiga Action 40 (Jan 1993) Disk 2 - Road Rash (6 bad tracks! = Nobby_UK)

Still BAD ? Even the ReDump ?
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
BAD! Amiga Format 34 (May 1992) Coverdisk 34b - Revenge of the Mutant Camels,
Jaguar Racers, Sensible Soccer (22 tracks bad! = Nobby_UK)

22 !
And I just put that box away

#EDIT#
Tested and it is BAD Without showing an signs of bad ness.
And scanning multiple times does not help

AA35 is most likely OK, it's just that one track (which hopefully isn't used) comes up strangely, and I'll have to get IFW to check it.

AA40 is now perfect with the redump, I'll update the list.

Which means you throw away the high res dump.... Which you should keep. But I am not going to argue. You could create both at the same time if you wanted to...

Hi Denis, which type of alcohol exactly?

If the disk has OK! beside it, the dump is good. If a disk isn't listed, I don't have a RAW dump of it.
Hi Codetapper, where can we download the OK files from?

They will be on AMR hopefully very soonish. I'm processing the disks as fast as I can (given limited time) and working out which ones are unmodified at this stage. I also need to sort out some details like the final naming and how to get the data to the SPS database etc, but then they will be available.

I'm happy to upload the IPFs onto an FTP site or wherever else people want to distribute them from.

normal Alcohol modified at 70%.
EDIT : my floppy drive was knackered, it has nothing to do with HD disks.
