Amiga 1000, A590 and whdload

(er, this might be offtopic)

is it possible to somehow use whdload on A1000 with A590 (2Mb RAM) and softkick? (I want to avoid changing hardware)
it seems that whdload requires KS2+ and I never managed to softkick anything larger than KS1.3

There might not be enough RAM for some games, but it is possible. Skick doesn't work for you?

well, I was hoping for a way to directly load KS3.1
I heard of some (commercial) software that splits 512Kb KS into two parts, and first part fits in RAM reserved for it, so it takes only 256K of additional RAM.
there are some utils on aminet, but they didn't work for me.

Ideally, I'd want KS to be loaded from HDD (diskette holding only small code for that), so that cold boot is faster. is that even possible?

Another alternative: DJBase's adaptor, which lets you plug in a kickstart chip...

Anything below kick 2.0 is realy hard to use.
And once you Skick your going to lose 512/256kb of Ram and hardly any WHDload games will run after this.
Games that are ADOS friendly and dont require additional software to run from HD will soot your setup more.
