Workbench backdrop is blocky and jagged

I am looking for a way to scale correctly the backdrop picture of the Workbench window. It resizes the image with a block and jagged aspect, whereas I would like a smooth texture like in Windows. Is there any way to do this? I am using Directory Opus Magellan and Workbench 3.9 on AmiKit...

I would resize based on my ScreenMode prefs converting the desired picture from my Windows PC into .iff and then putting it on the Amiga
For resampling to custom colors (like 256 or Rebel's palette or MWB palette) I'd use ImageStudio from the Amiga.
