Serial Cable Question

I decided to check the gurus would it be safe to use this serial cable in the PC - AMIGA file transfers. The reason is that this cable needs a gender changer at the Amiga side. See here the picture:

So is there a chance to cause damage to either system by using a such gender changer with this kind of serial cable? Any clues?

I use a gender changer for Mig to PC transfers, had no problems so far. The only thing that is important is that your serial cable is wired properly; http://www.amigaforever.com/kb/3-105.html

I use a Manhattan Null Modem cable (DB9F to DB9F, part no. 766623301404), together with a Roline DB9 to DB25 gender changer (part no. 7611990110810), if it matters.

OK, thanks for info. Earlier I have used successfully DB9F - DB9F -cable with ADAPTOR (Amiga side: DB9F to DB25F). What concerns me is that I again read these news that it may be hazardous to use MALE cables as they can be something else than null-modem cables (how on earth I should know the wireings inside the cable - by ripping off the rubber and plastic??). But thanks info anyway!!

If you have an IDE capable machine, I suggest a $2.00 IDE to CF adapter and a $10.00 CF card. Will save you tons of hassle!
