Datel should really have a history section on their site for guys like us, who grew up seeing their adverts on CU Amiga, etc. :-)

I have:
2xAR VI pro (for the C-64 :-) 1xAR III (For the A500) Actually come to think of it, the old coder cartridges are really the only things I ever really wanted from Datel. :-) The current Action Replay line are only a shadow of what it used to be, a really powerful tool to see inside your machine. :-) |

Action Replay IV A1200
Does anyone remember the A1200 version of the Action Replay that fitted in the expansion slot on the bottom of the A1200? I got one and it wouldn't save anything to my HD so I sent it back for a credit.
The Action Replay III was very good except for the fact that it could only write tracks and not blocks. Beermon to the rescue. As has already been stated, the new replays are for the console players not coders |

I don't think so, because the old AR were intended to cheat into games as well the actual ones, the difference is that the nowadays ones are for consoles not for computers. On the console you can too access memory and dissassemble, only difference is that with a computer you have the data more accessible. |

Considering that was PSW's first post ThEcRoW I think he was implying the new ones were NOT for computor user's.... he proberly meant the old ones were more useful to those who could enter their own codes via keyboard
You make the SAME point but from a different angle of aproach |

Ive had a few cool things from datel in days gone. There current stuff is nothing alike. Found DVD RegionX usfull for a while though on ps2 as i dont have mod chip.
I still have an Action Replay Mk III for c64 - useful for multiload novaload game trasfer from tape to disk. And an ActionReplay MK V, lots of cool features and superfast dastloader (strangely no novaload transfer). A Multiface3 for Spectrum+3 (Which i cant remember if it was by datel or not). For the Amiga500 the ActionReplay MKIII, and A1200 the Goliath PSU (which i think is from datel) |
