Decent Keyboard for Towered A1200
Morning all,
I'm after a bit of keyboard advice. I've got my A1200 in a Power Tower, and this came from Power Computing with one of the crappiest and cheapest keyboards known to man. The build quality's so bad on this thing that I had to pull some of the keys off, and move them around, as they weren't even in the right place! Over the coming weeks and months I want to start learning to program in AMOS (I know Blitz is more powerful, but I think AMOS will be easier to get started with), and because of that I want a keyboard that's going to be nice to use. A few months back I purchased a nice keyboard off Ebay, which had a PS2 connector on it. Unfortunately, the Amiga/Windows keys don't do anything (they work OK on the cheap keyboard). The AmigaKit site states the AmigaOne keyboards work with a towered 1200. However, they seem rather expensive for what looks like a bog-standard keyboard with a few Amiga logos on it. So, fellow EABers, can someone point me in the direction of a decent keyboard that works with a towered 1200? Many thanks for any help! |

I always thought the Power Computing keyboards were a bit flimsy - trouble is it does get expensive once you start looking at other options... the best thing to do would be to get a nice A4000 keyboard and an adaptor so you could use it with the Towered A1200 but that would end up costing big bucks...
@ Fitzsteve - any ideas Steve? |

Hi!
I'm using a cheap PC keyboard with mine and its pretty lame to be honest. If you can get an A4000 keyboard that would be much better. They can be quite expensive though. Steve. |

An A2000 or A3000 keyboard will do, too.
The A2k/3k keyboards are a pleasure to use. I know! |
