The Micro Museum - Possibly the best retro gaming place in Kent!

Quote:
But today I was to come across a place that I'd class as the golden crown of retro gaming in a town called Ramsgate, in the county of Kent. Welcome to 'The Micro Museum' - The Museum of Vintage Computers, Games and Micro Electronics run by Mike and Carol Deer.

For gawd's sake - that's MILES away from me! Grrrrrrrr.

Hmmm. Is that an IBM PC I see in the bottom left of the picture? Looks much like the one I used at work back in 1985 to 1989.

I believe so!

There were loads of systems, the original MAC, the SX64(?), the C16, C128, Amstrad CPC 464, Plus, Amiga and BBC MICRO + Elite

Hmmm always interesting to hear about more of these museums. If you have time on a Friday or Saturday in Swindon. Why not visit the Museum of Computing. If you let me know you are coming I will even give the guided tour after all I am the designated guide.

We have been one of the longest serving computer museums in the UK over 10 years and we are fully museum accredited.

Plug over ... peace out

There's a place about five miles down the road from me that contains much retro stuff though: See here Heh heh.

Joking aside. I was down in East London (used to live in Essex) a few weeks back (there and back in one day) to pick up something for my father-in-law. Ye gods - a lot has changed in 10 years. Couldn't wait to get back home!

As soon as there's a retro event within 1 hour/hour and half radius from my home, you can bet I'll be there!

Thanks for the heads up, guys.
