In almost every Polands cities there were "shops" which offer copy of games. You have to bring own disks and choose what ever you want from "menu"
It's pity i don't have any of this lists anymore It seems it was very small shop. In my city lists have thousands rows. Most games came to other cities directly from Warsaw's (capital city) computer exchange market. Here is article about it: https://kreczmar.gadzetomania.pl/577...a-grzybowskiej |

It depended on the author/seller. Most of them had a simple CLI selector with assigned F1, F2, F3 (and so on) keys to run individual programs or games (if there was more than one on a disk).

You never know where a gem is present
How can you establish that ..... from the name of the game ? That's not enough for sure, it could be a different cracked / trained version indeed |

Maybe ask over at PPA; I'm sure people there would be very interested in preserving this collection
For me personally, this doesn't hold any appeal. Same as if there was a French / German / Italian / Spanish collection... |

Well, it's definitely been looked after and the disks stored properly
...but it seems to be a collection of Polish "Shareware" games; probably from magazines. Let's be honest; even Polish commercial games and the best of PD aren't really that great so... |

please no more pd-disks!
they are all rip offs of each other or have only demo versions of lame games nobody would buy anyway. my experience with pd stuff so far: slideshows, lame games, demo versions of lame games and "funny" animations that waste a lot of disk space and nobody ever wants to look at any of those. just my 2 cent. |

Nah, preserve it all (being serious)! Maybe there's a sequel to Franko's Revenge in there (not serious)!

I'm totally with tmb on this one
Not worth preserving IMHO; magazine stuff / demos / PD games etc. ...and all you guys saying it's definitely worth it; cough up the funds then between yourselves if it's so special; and don't expect jarred to do it!!! |

My comments were sort of directed at chip.
He's always the first to say "preserve everything", but never actually contributes anything towards the cost or has anything to do with the process of imaging etc. |

No worries; I kinda figured it wasn't a shot at me. Still, those Polish games are waiting for preservation! Think of Franko! LOL
