I really don't endorse this and wouldn't back this myself in a million years, but it's kind of newsworthy so I'll post it here anyway. Seeing the Boing balled NASCAR car really reminds me of "The Amiga Center at Kent"
Retro Infinity Inc and Amiga Games Inc are doing a kickstarter to raise $100.000 to create a "mobile player" for old Amiga (and Atari?) games: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects...nfinity-player ..such an epic fail at 0:37 in the pitch video: "Because really, who has a Commodore computer anymore" Because really, who do they think actually would be a possible backer of this? $30 for two average 25-year-old games running in an emulator. $100,000 to make minor modifications to UAE for games they already own the license for. Laughable.

I suspect a few only backed it to be able to leave a comment at https://www.kickstarter.com/projects...layer/comments
Still, only $99.912 to go in 22 days Btw, the first comment (by Martin) is kind of interesting. |

"Use this space to cheer the creator along, ask questions, and talk to your fellow backers. Please remember to be respectful and considerate. Thanks!"
People already tearing into them in the comments section. The "who has an Amiga anyway" comment will be a real brake-pad for this Kickstarter, but I wonder if it was intentional or if it just came out wrong. |

This project is really a joke. 100k Dollars for really nothing new. Good news is this will never be backed successfully i think.

Interestingly Martins comment have been removed by kickstarter. For those who didnt see it, it was about "Hey everybody, I will soon release -something pretty much similar- and will give it to everyone for free"
I wonder if initiative to remove it was by kickstarter themselves, or was removal initiated by someone (the campaign manager)? |

Kickstarter for Amiga/Atari Game Player
I wanted to share a new Kickstarter campaign with you all.
The goal is to re-release classic video games from the 80’s and 90’s via a player that works on mobile phones, tablets, and smart TVs. This includes 100s of popular games from Amiga, Atari and others. You can learn more about it on the Kickstarter website: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects...nfinity-player |
