I Have an Amiga Compatible Projector
So after resurrecting my a1200 recently, I decided to plug in my ancient NEC NP3150 projector. And what do you know? It supports 15khz screen modes!

Well, of course, it has analogue inputs
That being sad, it appears to be exceptionally rich in that department. How did you connect it? Composite? S-Video? |

Oooh, that is a jack pot though.
I too was toying with the idea of getting a projector for my Amiga/other retro stuff. I hope it's as awesome as I'm imagining it Would appreciate some piccies of the show |

It is unplugged at the mo, I was thinking of taking some shots before posting this but couldn't wait. I'll post some pics/video soon. It is as awesome as you are imagining it though.

Most projectors are happy with 15kHz. Even ones from the era when flat panel monitors generally weren't. :-)

A CRT projector is another beast of its own! It gives you pixel perfect emulation. Very heavy unfortunately so it isn't something I have been able to acquire!

I have had an Epson EMP-52 for a good few years, it also accepts 15KHz via the VGA port.
[edit] Ooops, apologies for the big images |

Wow that does look nice! It reminded me I have a projector as well, will have to dig it out and connect the Amiga to it too to see if it works. I used it with a Framemeister in the past for use with the PC Engine and Super Famicom, it looks amazing but the Amiga I think would be even cooler. Will post photos later too
I used to have an Epson TW model back in the day and used to play Xbox and PS2 on it, I loved how much you could blow up the picture from close up. My current one is not as good as the Epson though. |
