Anyone using Microsoft MN-520 card with their Amiga!
If yes,
I would need some help. I need backup of of original PDA firmware. It is easy to do on win laptop which has winXP and PCMCIA port. I will provide application for backup (web page and tools) I did not realize you can backup it at first and when i upgraded new intersil firmware card started to work with WPA but is buggy and it overheats. I tried flashing lower firmware version but i have problem downgrading.. I would appreciate help if someone has it. This is more like challenge to me, to get it to work. Thank you. |

Out of curiosity, what firmware version did you flash?

Hello, do you have this card?
I flashed 1.7.4 as recommended, but I got overheating and signal drops. I tried newer firmware also, but something went wrong during flash procedure, and I found out that there is a way to backup later, when card was in problem. Life does not depend of the solution of this case, but it is a challenge, if you understand me. |

No, I don't have this card unfortunately.
Is it the card that's overheating or the Amiga? Certainly the Amiga has to work harder with WPA as that card requires that WPA encryption is done in software. I haven't looked at the flashing software recently, but I thought you could flash an older version back to the card, at least in theory. I also thought that older, non-WPA firmware versions were available online. Are you sure that the older firmware you tried to flash was the right one for your chipset? |

I can flash older firmware, but somewhere along the way card PDA got corrupt. I can access card, but I need original firmware full backup to reflash it to factory settings, that is why I ask if someone has this card.

Now have a look at this. It is a Microsoft book about the Amiga. Seeing is believing. | Tolismlf | Nostalgia & memories | 13 | 25 November 2004 12:42 |
