I think most of us enjoyed POP on the Amiga how it was, i don't think it needs changing or updating tbh after all we are just comparing in this thread.

tbh i don't like the ST added gfx, the Amiga version is closer to most of the other original versions

I don't think there is anything added but some "mould" on the blocks. To me everything looks like the palette has been badly changed and all the colours are wrong everywhere. Just horrible. Only blind person can say it looks better...

I mean the added detail on the main character, it looks as though he has had a shower his hair has a distinct sheen to it prefer it just plain

I'm almost sure that De Flores has enhanced the graphics because the original graphics were dull, empty and simplistic.

I can't see any other reason for that matter. And it was for sure a consequence of the french team seeing what the americans (Dan Gorlin) did with the Amiga version.

Doesn't make sense to port the ST version of PoP. Defender of the Crown ST with the Amiga graphics and sound though would be a nice improvement. They enhanced/improved the gameplay for the ST version.

Pop ST has great colors and graphics. Everything is more detailed and more rich than on the Amiga version.

This is a game where the Amiga has not the winning prize unfortunately.....

...or "Sinbad and the Throne of the Falcon".

The C64 and ST version are much better than the Amiga one which is a totally different game

I dont like the hero on POP st

Do you have POP ST original and how many disks? If so do you also have an A500 with two floppy drives?
Can you try pop st under ST emulator for Amiga on real hardware?

anyway enough POP talk or it'll go off-topic.

Very comprehensive comparison. They included the often forgotten Sam Coupé version. But, strangely, they left the Macintosh version out. Odd...

If those 20% are time critical then there is nothing wrong and nothing to "lol" about either. Can't be bothered to check how much of the game is in asm right now but once I'm incredibly bored I may have a look.

Besides, it just isn't true the game has been coded in pure "C crap" which was the sole reason for my post.

this game doesn't use a single piece of the amiga hardware. That's why the game is so sluggish.
