Sample previewer in file browser

Hi All, is there some software which allows you to open a file browser and click on a sample file to hear a preview before loading it in? I'm using Octamed Sound Studio and it looks like I have to load a sample in fully and then listen before keeping or discarding? Thanks.

There is a great function in OSS to create a sample/instrument library to preview and load samples from for all of your projects. I do not have time to fire the SoundStudio up atm to refresh my memory how it was done. But I’m sure someone here can give you some instructions on that before I’m off work and have a chance to do it.

I use FileMaster 3.x, it will autodetect 8svx samples and you can configure it to not ask anything, just play directly on double click.
