Thanks for the replies,
Now I have clearer ideas, and I know what to work on. @coldacid Thanks for the screenshots and examples. So, as I see, the "MAC" must be selected first And immediately after the NetWorkMode to select the "Hyper-V" ethernet adapter (which I didn't do, I just used the MAC) One last thing then the connection must be reconfigured manually from scratch ? I wanted to know from Toni if there is a need for NCAP for this to work. If I'm not mistaken does it only work with 32-bit WinUAE? Thanks again. I'll just add a small note. My aim is to have a "real" IP from the OS4 side To use the "AmyCignix" shell this gets around the real ip issue i can't get with current use of "RTL8029" With this method I get a real IP ? Or I always have 10.0.2.15 using Hyper-V Thank you. Last edited by White; 25 February 2023 at 14:15. |

I did some testing.
Ncap seems the best solution (also because using the MAC I don't get the IP) In this case it is Npcap that shows the available external drivers such as VMWare VirtualBOX and Hyper-V Now I try with a real adapter to see if it works I have yet to try it with "AmyCignix" Ping works. I had to make a change to the DEVS:Internet/Routes with 4.1 to make it work. Nothing fancy just delete the 192.168.1.1 lines Now I restore the clean 4.1 backup and do everything right. Npcap works with WinUAE 64x version this is the first time I use it. Thanks for the hints you gave me to help me understand how it works. I always ask so many questions, but it's the only way to understand better Last edited by White; 25 February 2023 at 20:18. |

Virtual NIC + manually set MAC most likely won't work.
Whole point of Virtual NIC is to create separate NIC with different MAC, you don't need to create second different MAC In other words: if virtual NIC: MAC field in WinUAE should be empty = use NIC MAC. |

Toni,
Thanks for the explanation, currently with OS4 the best "driver" with Npcap seems to be the one from VMware the other Hyper-V and VirtualBox seem to have problems. For now I use the VMware one I'm curious to see the speed of the videos with Amycignix (provided that the DISPLAY export with the ip works). |

I think that having the Windows Hypervisor Platform installed breaks that a bit, Toni. If the physical NIC is being used by the hypervisor platform as a virtual switch (which tends to be the case when using Hyper-V with an external virtual switch configured) then that kind of NIC sharing doesn't work. I think that's why I had problems with it myself back when I was asking these questions some time back, but why having a dedicated Hyper-V virtual NIC works fine with WinUAE.

@Toni When I launch VMWare17.01 virtualized Ubuntu. VMWare tells me there are compatibility issues with Hyper-V and refers me to troubleshooting. Of the two, I prefer VMWare. Then I uninstalled Hyper-V. Instead I'd like to use the Alpha Network usb Wifi adapter as the real device. But as soon as I plug it in Windows sets it up as a second Wifi device. Npcap recognizes the device I'd like to set it up for use with OS4 but I have no idea how. How could I do ? What settings should I use in the board properties? Thanks again for any suggestions that are very useful to me. |

If you don't have Windows Hypervisor Platform and Hyper-V set up, I'm not sure I could provide anything else helpful.

I worked a bit on pre-buffering the videos now everything works fine.
At the resolution of 1024x768 the base is ready. Now I can only make improvements for the better. The original video runs at 16:9 But video capture turns it into 4:3 Side WinUAE why if I use Picasso96 as driver the colors of Amicignix DeskTop are offset ? While if I choose Cybergraphix the colors are right. Thank you. By the way but that doesn't matter versions after 4.6.4 of "AfterBurner" for video capture are incompatible with WinUAE. (maybe someone uses it or has encountered the same problem as me). To be precise both "DirectSound and Wasapi" conflict exactly with WinUAE audio in practice, as soon as you start recording, the video capture slows down dramatically. Unfortunately I don't have a real X1000 X5000 PPC machine to test it. But I can say that if one day I had to buy it. I will know how to use it I trained with the emulator |

I worked on it a bit because by practicing I understand better what to do.
For system functionality issues so as to be compatible with Demos etc. I used Voodoo3 the result is really good Here I used the Firefox 112 B3 Beta With AmiCygnix with some tweaks. I finally managed to configure WinUAE to record videos correctly with AfterBurner so now the videos are seen as they really are. I leave the current configuration file that I currently use because in Youtube videos occasionally the video flickers slightly. And I was wondering if there is any option in WinUAE that I could turn on to avoid flickering as seen in the video. It would be perfect. Thank you. here AmiCynix with Voodoo3 Firefox YouTube: [ Show youtube player ] |

I fixed the flickering,
I never used this option in WinUAE, Monitor Sync Source ---> H/V Sync or Monitor Sync Source ---> Composite Sync with one of these two options activated, watching videos on YouTube is perfect. What are the differences between these two options? Also I in the NVidia card with G-Sync (Windows 10) I activated: ""Enable in Window is Full Screen"" does this option affect WinUAE ? Thank you. [ Show youtube player ] In the original video the "fonts" and the AmigaOS Workbench are sharp in the video capture everything is a bit grainy. I still haven't figured out how to setup WinUAE for this. here new config (( tested with the new WinUAE beta 2 )) Last edited by White; 19 March 2023 at 18:42. |

I apologize for the OT, maybe it can be of interest and is inherent in the posts written previously. @coldacid I had a license of "Win 10 Enterprise LTSC 2021" but today restoring the backup I realized I put the wrong drivers And it was very slow so I never thought about using it again. But now it's fast once you've done the installation from scratch. So I retired Win 10 Enterprise LTSC 2019. Now I'm using the latest "LTSC 2021 with 21H2" with the updated kernel for the latest Hyper-V Going back to Hyper-V I wanted to ask you for some advice. I have seen that it is possible to do GPU passthrough with Hyper-V with emulated Windows systems. I wanted to ask if it was possible to do it with Linux as well? Not having two GPUs because the Ryzen 5800 doesn't have an integrated graphics card, I tried with "VMWare with vSphere" but when I add PCI it doesn't let me choose anything. In summary my question is do you know if there is a way to do the GPU passthrough even with Linux systems with Hyper-V ? Thanks for any response Clearly the question is addressed to all those who may be interested. Sorry again for the OT Today I have to reinstall many things it will take a day. ((Here the video with Hyper-V GPU Sharing with Virtual Machine. With integrated with a geforce 3070 for example with WIn 11 in Hyper-V )) If you want to take a look: [ Show youtube player ] Last edited by White; 25 March 2023 at 18:42. |

I carried out the test is "Heaven Benchmark" even if a little old it reaches set to the maximum over 145fps with Windows 10 with the sharing of the Geforce RTX 2060 with Hyper-V with openGL and DirectX.
I have not installed Windows 11 because the ISO had to be modified to make it work and this is not the purpose of this theme. But I forgot to try the test before activating the Geforce 2060 to see the differences. :-) Now I repeat everything. The scripts I've seen are written for the Windows Drivers but I imagine that by modifying them they can also work with Linux. @coldacid Do you have time to test with "Heaven Benchmark" to see how many fps you reach with your Hyper-V ? Thank you. If I'm going too OT tell me because I don't want to disturb. :-) |

I attach the two scripts if they can be useful:
I still can't use Hyper-V well because it's my first time using it. So I'll have to practice, especially I have difficulty with the "Network Switch" :-) |

I've never had a need for GPU passthrough with Hyper-V so I never looked into it.

Thanks for the answer, If you use Windows 10 with Hyper-V you could do a test with "Heaven Benchmark" to see how it works within the emulation. https://benchmark.unigine.com/heaven |
