iGame 2.2.1 issues
Can someone please help me with an issue I am experiencing with iGame with WinUAE.
The issue is that every time I quit iGame I get a Recoverable Alert 0100 0009. I then reboot to a Guru 8000 000B. I have researched this and the first error seems to be a freeing of RAM issue, the second one, an issue with the library (I think). I have read through all the documentation that comes with iGame and I have all the right librarys installed in MUI/LIBS (guigfx.library, render.library) and in MUI/LIBS/MUI (Guigfx.mcc, TextEditor.mcc). I have my WinUAE set up with a 030 CPU and have made sure that I am using the right render.library for CPUs without FPU (in fact I have tried pretty much every version). I have also tried enabling the FPU and re-enabling the FPU in WinUAE. I am using: WinUAE 4.10.1 iGame 2.2.1 WB 3.1 with A1200 & Better WB 4.3 Can anyone please help? |

Just installed the latest igame on my B1230MKIV based a1200 and it seems to run fine for me. I had an older version running fine already though - is it only the upgrade causing issues or did you not have it running at all before?

I had a very old version running before, 1.5 I think, but this latest version just won't work for me. I mean it run's OK and you can start it up and play games, it's just when you go to close it that all hell breaks lose with the GURU errors.

But I have made sure I use the render.library for CPUs without FPU (I am using 030) and I also make sure FPU is disabled in the config. This is all very paranormal!
I wonder please if some kind generous person could lha up the required .librarys and .mcc files from their working installation and put them on the zone? just to rule out me having the wrong files? I would greatly appreciate it. |

Presumably you need someone running an 030 without an FPU to compare with (in which case I can't help).

I got caught out a while ago wit a similar issue on one of my 030 Amigas too. Check your guigfx.library is not the fpu version. https://aminet.net/package/dev/misc/guigfxlib_nofpu

I have reverted to 2.0 for now, this version does not have any issues for me.

Hello, I have the same problem.
I installed Workbench 3.1 with ClassicWB Lite for an initially native Amiga 1200. IGame 2.0 works, but every version after that (2.1 - 2.4.4) has this bug. Is it possible that the newer versions are more for OS 35 are suitable? And should you only use the 2.0 version for Workbench 3.1? |
