AROS Vision with FS-UAE - slow RTG and request for removing quit function

I have two questions. I have created AROS Vision that works in FS-UAE. One developer is now creating a version that boots with Knoppix direct in FS-UAE and later on you can even start Linux apps from within Emu. It already boots perfectly from USB-Stick. Here I have two questions. It still renders not very fast in RTG. What parameter could be used to speed it up? Second when you close FS-UAE you are in a Linux-Environment. To have the "real" Amithlon-feeling I would like to have close FS-UAE disabled so that you can only reboot. Is that possible? Shutdown would be a command in the distribution (not a function of emulator). Or could you make a "special" version for me without that option?

How about binding the F12-key to a shortcut of the window manager? Or use xmodmap to remap/disable it.

Regarding performance... Perhaps a bad opengl driver, who knows? Give us the config, the system specs and so on. More information is needed here...

BTW: Using Linux to emulate an Amiga to use Linux sounds:
But I am interested to test it, where can I get it?

:-)

you find it on http://www.aeros-os.org/ in the download section (but only for registered users). You can ask Pascal, he will certainly give you access. He has promised to upload a new version in two days. BTW running Linux applications is not the primary goal, it is created to offer a kind of "Amithlon" feeling and hiding the Linux part. But it would be fun to use Gimp or LibeOffice in a 68k environment :-)

Hi, what kind of feature were you looking for more specifically? Removing the quit GUI button in the F12 menu? Disable quit shortcut keys? both?
