new a600 - how to get adf-files from my mac
During a recent attack of nostalgia i bought a A600 on ebay. It came with some games, but not the games I jused to play when I was a kid. I have downloaded a lot of games (adf-files) from the web that I would like to play on the a600, but how?
This is the hardware I've got; what do I do to play on my amiga? (I have tried to google, but no luck) -Macbook pro with windows 7 and mac os x 10.5.6 (no floppy) -amiga 600 with no HD, 37.300 -workbench 2.05 origial disks (boot, extras and fonts, not install disk) -CF-cards (32MB, 128MB, 256MB and 1GB) -CF-PCMCIA-adapter -USB-CF-adapter -10GB 2,5 harddrive plus usb/fireware case -the internet I would very much like to get all the games I like on a cf card and start them from that (less diskettes in the living room), is that possible? how? @amigakit.com:
If I read correctly, he was looking for a Device that lets him Start the ADF's from his A600 directly. EasyADF can't do that, right? Methinks he is looking for something like the MMC64, but for Amiga. I thought, I saw something like this a while ago. But I can't find the Link in my messy Bookmarks. Maybe it was over at Am*ga.org. The Guy replaced his Floppy Drive with a 'Home-Built' Device that had an 2 Line Monochrome-LCD Display for selecting the ADF-Images from an CF-Card. Does anyone else remember this? Hi pman3003, The best way right now, for having no Disks lying around is to get a 2,5" CF-Adapter and a new Kickstart-ROM (37.350) that supports big HD's. Then have a look at these links: http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=42262 / http://lvd.nedopc.com/Projects/a600_8mb/ With this Board your A600 should have enough RAM to run the Games via WHDLoad in a reasonable Way. logix |
