I have big problem to finish level 6. It is very difficult.
I have a suggestion that will make the game a little more interesting. When levels get more difficult. Let's say from level 5 you could introduce bombs. When snake eat bomb the snake get smaller.
Maybe too late for bombs in this version but if you find a level is too difficult just edit it.

The highest level you can start from is the highest level that you've reached. All 20 are available once the game is completed.

Wow, that's harsh!
I think that your game is very well made, fun and addictive with some very devious levels. I hope the rest of the LemonAmiga community will redeem this (obviously) troll rating.

Thanks. Yes the levels are devious. I've not managed to complete it yet and I've been playing it for longer

But the difficulty is one of the reasons i wrote the level editor. The 20 levels were originally hard coded in but i wanted the option to change them.

That's LemonAmiga ratings for ya...

Don't worry; they mean absolutely nothing and are totally pointless. People just use them to shit on games.

If you look at all the other games "Kodoichi" gave a 1 to:

Code:
4x4 Off-Road Racing
Advanced Lawnmower Simulator
Amegas
Army Moves
Banana Islands
Barbarian+
Belial
Cash Crisis: Programers Search for Money
Choctris
Chubby Gristle

I mean Rygar? Come on

I really do wonder what he thinks a 10 out of 10 game is.

Coagulus don't pay attention, he gave Gazza Soccer a 10. Surely it's a spam account.

I have rated a couple of games poorly on lemon amiga, like Alert X (commercial rip off that pinches samples and assets from other games) and 18th Hole (nice idea but hampered by the limited movement and random physics) but they are poor games your game isn't.

I can get through the first 5 levels on normal quite easily but level 6 I need to practice more. I got to level 10 on Easy mode last time I played but dying was purely down to my own errors.

It's a nice snake clone and you're ironing out the small kinks.

And thanks for 10x10 too, I dip into that a fair bit for a quick relaxing play and to try to beat my high score.

Thanks all. Looks like I'm in some esteemed company there on those 1 star reviews. I wish I could make as awesome a release as Rygar but I'll settle for hopefully fun and addictive ones at least to some people.

I've already been playing level one of our (there 2 of us on the next one not just me!) next Amiga game. Early doors yet but more on that sooon.

Dont worry, thats from Kodoichi. He is... different.

EDIT: DaminD already pointed it out. Kodoichi is not a spam account, he regularly posts to the forum, but he is just different. But of course I can not punish him only for his opinion.
I rate Super Wormy 7/10.

He has unusual taste for sure. hopefully he'll like the next game. I'm very happy with a 7 though.

^ let's say Kodoichi is DE (german) as for them " 1 " is the best score/grade/rating and 6 is the worst

Are there plans in the future with the editor to make your own project, password protect your project and them compile it to be selected from the main menu in the game itself? Can there be unlimited amount of maps? If you managed to do that, I will personally give the game a review of 10/10 in lemon amiga!! Plus donate to you cash for support! Look at this face! That is a serious face too!!

That's a very serious face. Sorry i thought I'd replied to this. There will be a 1.2 but i have been concentrating effort on the next game while i still have my graphic guy engaged. (and its going well)

Do you mean password protect to prevent editing or prevent opening in Wormy, or both?

As for selecting from various packs from the menu i do plan to add that.

Coagulus; have you not noticed that in virtually every new game thread, xboxown asks the author's to also create an Editor?

You've already done this, but now he wants to be able to create new games using your engine

reminds me of "Bombyx" on Oric (8 bit 8 color computer). I loved that game.

[ Show youtube player ]

guess who coded it? https://www.oric.org/software/bombyx-1062.html

=> Francois Lionet (creator of AMOS)

Aha. That is similar for sure. I've played a few like it over the years. Looks like they used the same method as i did for animating all the segments. But i decided to make the screen big and use up loads of RAM

Password protect for editing only. People can play your game design by selecting it from the game menu but if they want to be nasty and want to edit your level they will not be able to open it in the editor. Also you will be able to put the name of the author and contact email who designed these levels
