WTB: Acard AEC-7720U SCSI-IDE bridge
Acard AEC-7720U SCSI-IDE bridge
Would like to buy one of these, but haven't seen one on ebay for a while. If anyone has one they'd like to sell I'd be much obliged! Thanks |

Vesalia has them in stock, although at a bit of a price premium.

Get the UW version - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ACARD-Ultra-WI...item3ef8d40ccc
and use a 50-68 pin converter. That's what I'm using on my A3000, and it works. Another advantage is the UW version is a little smaller (narrower), so gives you more mounting options. Never dealt with that seller, but it's cheaper than vesalia by some way! |

How do you get them to ship internationally?

No idea, use an intermediary? Arrange your own courier?

Thanks everyone, I knew you'd come up trumps.
I'm mighty tempted to try chiark's suggestion of the AEC-7720UW. I've got the pin adapter so that's ok. Anyone have any experience of using the UW with a compactflash in a GVP A500 +8? I've heard the U version is ok, the UW shouldn't throw up any problems should it? |

Hi Rare_J, if you don't get any luck with anyone answering, let me know and I can try it on a HC8+ in a 2000, but that'll take a little time to get up and working and doesn't mean it'll work on the GVP A500... The other thing is you'll need a 68 pin cable

Thanks or the offer chiark. If it was £80 I'd take you up on it but seeing as I can get one for £30 I'll take a gamble on it. I've got a cable/pin adapter. Cheers.

Cool - I've just installed it using hot glue into my a3k, so that's good to hear
