Hi thanks for the tip Vodley.
It is not on the Photon Paint from Planetemu. I have an Original Photon Paint 2 and it isnt on it. I seem to remember the ANIMs were on a separate art disk (possibly for Photon Paint, but missing from Planetemu?) The Fairy anim needed 1.5mb RAM to play in its entirety... |

Thanks DamienD!
There is a Pic of THE fairy on Photon Paint v2.0 (1989)(MicroIllusions)(Disk 2 of 2)(Art).zip There must be other Heidi Turnipseed (the creator) art disks somewhere... The Fairy anim would fill a disk on its own.... Any ideas? Last edited by DDNI; 22 March 2008 at 18:33. |

I remember now, that I saw the animated fairy on a program about Amiga art. Maybe on TV, or a VHS tape.
The Photon Paint makers had a companion animation program, Photon Video Cel Animator, I'm fairly certain. Was it included with that perhaps? Photon Video Transport Controller maybe? |

I definitely had the animation on floppy disk in about 1991. It never ran in just 1mb....I bought a Power computing add 512kb expansion for my 512k RAM expansion (the one that needed to be connected to the Gary socket) the first thing I did was load up that animation!

DamienD, no joy unfortunately it isnt on any of those disks.
Cell animator features a small waterfall anim that looks like Heidi Turnipseeds work though.... My Missus, who is Fairy mad (and Fairly mad ) now wants to see this earth shattering Amiga Fairy anim lol |

Guys look at this video from 0:41 to about 1:10 it shows part of the fairy animation, a warrior on a horse and a waterfall scene. I definitely had these on floppy, but now cannot find a source anywhere...

Photon Video Cel Animator seems the most likely source. I am now hunting for the program disk and the all important art disks.
It is reviewed on page 35 of this magazine. The Fairy and Warrior can clearly be seen... http://www.amigamagazine.info/index.html#am_09.html |

Ok so I have concluded that TOSEC is missing an art disk from Photon Video Cel Animator.
TOSEC lists just two disks: Cel Animator v1.0 (1988)(MicroIllusions)(Disk 1 of 2).7z Cel Animator v1.0 (1988)(MicroIllusions)(Disk 2 of 2).7z However this image of the Amiga package for Photon Video Cel Animator clearly shows THREE disks. Does anyone have this missing disk? Given that the animator of the Fairy animation died last year, I feel that it is of great importance to find it now. |
