WTB Amiga 500+ motherboard

Hi there, just took apart my a500+ after reading about the issue with batteries, discovered a lot of corrosion around the battery and lots of lovely fur, looking for a replacement board preferably rev 8a or someone who could sort the battery for me, still working at mo, but looks bad, one diode lifted completely off board! cheers

You might not need a new board. Go to an electrical suppplier, and get some fluxclene. It is a chemical designed for cleaning circuit boards and u can clean off the corrosion!!! However, if u cant solder the diode back on, a new board is the way to go. cheers

Thanks for that, im willing to give it a go, i just don't really like handling corrosive acids! will that fluxclene neutralise the acid too? ive looked at another board which had corrosion damage and saw the exact same thing with the diode, same position and everything, looks like its joined to another! just wondering if thats supposed to be or not?

its in right position, dont solder anything!
just clean that crap carefully

Thanks looks almost exactly like my board! just replace white with blue and green! good to know the diodes ok there, maybe it hadnt been gone as long as i thought then
