Yup, glad i waited for the puller and didn't jump the gun and used 2 screw drivers to pop it out!

Don't use screwdrivers. The chips are stuck in so hard that you'll just crack the sockets while levering them out.

Are these not 'one time' only applications - therefore removing them will cause damage! BTW what is that huge stencil type device?!

The PLCC Extraction Tool prevents damage to the socket when removing/inserting a chip such as Super Buster 11

I got one of those from Vesalia... love it. OK, competition. But I buy from both Amigakit and Vesalia. It depends. Amigakit is generally faster, but through Vesalia I rarely pay import duties (it happened only once) while with Amigakit it is a certainty.

Import duties??? I haven't payed any extra with AmigaKit but what it says on the web site for what ever item it is. Maybe it was a larger item you had to pay duty on? I love the speed of Amigakit. 8 days or less so far! I think 6 days was the fastest i received something after ordering something.

I never had to pay any import fees except the first order of the A1200 I got from them in 2009. I had to pay the Fed Ex boarder (extortion) fee of $35 (which is still alot better than UPS).
They now ship my stuff Royal post and I also get it under 14 days to Alberta. The last 2 shipments, its been 6 days also.
I have never shopped at Verselia. I find Amigakit has the better prices and from what I have read, way better service.

That's odd... I always pay import fees as determined by FedEx from AmigaKit, but it's at about the usual 15% as per tax. All of my orders were shipped by Fedex so far. The last one set me back $20 the one before like $60... Vesalia always uses regular mail and most of the time I don't get charged anything extra. The only time it happened it was when I got the ACA1231. The large number must have attracted the customs guy's attention, lol...

next order just ask to ship it Royal Post. Cost the same, slower, but no extortion fees from Canada Post.

Nice... I'm assuming this is not universal for any chip or is it? This would be great to use on Wii-clip for example!

It is only useful for socketed PLCC chips. Nothing else.
