Theme Park AGA in WHDLoad

I can't get this to run on my A1200. I definitely have the correct ROMs in my kickstart folder according to the guide:

http://www.whdload.de/games/ThemePark.html

But it returns "kick40068.A1200 not found." Anybody else had this problem? Also is it normal that my kickstart folder appears empty through workbench, even though I can see the files are in there Dopus?

Thanks.

Wrong kickstart. 'Kickstart v3.1 r40.68 (1993)(Commodore)(A1200)[!]' is the correct TOSEC one you need. Try to transfer it as a zip/lha and unpack it on the Miggy side, instead of transferring the file itself.

Click on 'View -> All Files'

Thanks! I'll have a look for it.

Should I rename it before putting into the kickstart folder, or leave as is?

You need to rename it to 'kick40068.A1200' when you put it in 'devs/kickstarts'.

OK cool, so replace the one that's already in there with that name? Sorry for all the questions!

Yep. Make sure that you transfer it 'zipped' this time. Hopefully that'll fix it

This is strange. Copied the file across as you suggested, and through UAE it plays fine. Great I thought.

But I put the CF back into my A1200 and I still get the same error! I don't understand how the WB environment can operate differently off the same disk. Could it be because my A1200 only has the 3.0 rom? (FYI in UAE I also had a 3.0 rom selected instead of 3.1)

It's nothing to do with the actual ROM your amiga is fitted with. You can run 3.1 games from a 2.0 ROM amiga using whdload.

run whdload with SNOOPDOS running. You'll see what the program is looking for. It's looking for the .A1200 file + the .A1200.RTB file in "devs:kickstarts".

Most likely something like that. If it works fine in (Win)UAE, it has to be the Amiga & CF part.

Thanks for the link, I did a little search and it seems MaxTransfer is something to do with the data rates. Is there an FAQ anywhere on how to adjust this to see if it helps?

MaxTransfer can be set with the hdtoolbox program (in the Tools directory of you Workbench iirc). I'd like to give some piccies but have currently no access to my Amiga stuff.

Has anyone tried running this? It suffers from really bad slow down as soon as you open the park and there's lots of people in there, makes it unplayable

I have 8mb fast ram so am quite surprised. Any remedies?
