Do you know if the purchase option you linked to includes the latest AF too? I've got AF 2014 but I missed the special offer window a wee while back. |

I doubt it. Depending on which version of AF you already have, you can get a discount for purchasing AF2016 but the OS4.1 is extra.

That's kinda what I thought. To good to be true to get both at that price. Thing is, I'm not that sure I'll have much use for OS4.1 other than for just poking about in. On the other side, I feel the urge to support Cloantos continued development of new features.
I think I'll wait til pay day then see how rich I'm feeling. Thanks for the replies folks. PS: Just curious: I had an account here from way back when but it's been binned. Was there some hacky stuff going on or a server upgrade or something less dramatic like a spring clean? |

I have AF 2014. Can I just get the OS4.1 from them and that's all?

Yes, there's no requirement to purchase AF to get it.

Glad I stumbled across this, just picked it up. OS4.1 FE is a wonderful addition to the emulation platform. Stuff I never dreamed was possible back when I had my A500!

Why would you want to buy 4.1 when its not Amiga that made it..?? Amiga forever is a rip off anyway..

Why would Amiga Forever be a ripoff? Its a simple and complete LEGAL package for amiga emulation. Overall its pretty nice for what it does. Some of us like the idea of a complete ready to go bundled system that also allows us to experiment on our own configs.

I do like Amiga Forever but there should not be charging you for Workbench that most people already have, that the only thing I don't agree with. And if some on here say wants Workbench you can't share it cos it copyright, the older Workbenches shouldn't still be copyright like 1.3,2.0,3.1.
Here ends the rant.. I do like Amiga Explorer too..,I use it alot. Its just so slow on serial. Last edited by spannernick; 03 June 2016 at 12:08. |

I like the GUI, but I miss how easy the older gui was to modify and create your own custom configs with it.

And you got yours cheaper,, I'm in Australia, and i gotta pay $40... still worth it.. Good for an easy-to-set up point and click install... vs user bringing in Winuae and not understand options... At least AF has a Front end.. Besides, your not paying for the software, as its all open source anyway, your actually paying for the legal roms. (kickstarts and bundled games/demos (except PD.. not sure) Last edited by amiga_Forever; 13 February 2017 at 10:36. |
