Yeah I already ran into it
http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=57884&page=3 I concur: this game looks like awesomeness. It has elements from many classic games, even Super Mario Brothers. I don't often splurge more than a few bucks on an indie title, but this is going to be one of those cases |

I've seen countless youtube vids of people playing this game and raving about how awesome and retro it is. I am a retro gamer like you all, but I just find this game to look kind of... bleh. Am I missing something? I mean doesn't the novelty wear off after 5-10 minutes? If this was released back in 1987/88 alongside Zelda, Super Mario Bros, Megaman, it would have paled in comparison, right?

I suppose I can't argue there, but based on what I've seen I can't say I'd pay $15 for it. Now the reletively new game Super Meat Boy was an awesome retro-style game with many references to the 8 and 16 bit era. And of course there's countless home brew games as well.

Did this start out as grand theft tendo or something?
Looks great, varied gameplay to keep you interested and plenty of nods to the past to keep you amused. Will have to check it out. |
