look at this picture...
Looks like the adapter is missing from the cable ends, the adapter that fits on on the floppy hd led pins on the mobo.

i used the led from my regular amiga, and they work , so the contacts on the motherboard works... maybe it the 2pin that is missing, but im afraid if it wrong to put them on the two pins.. i will fry the computer.

you can se that the "cable" goes next to the two pins on the led converter.... and the green cable must be in the right place now?
but no LED

yeah , it would be great if you can do so..

well how I see it you either

a. Wait for someone with an elbox tower to open up and have a look (Amigaz will do that later today)
b. Risk attaching the wires and maybe kill the mobo

c. Put the led out of your regular Amiga in there

d. Live without the LED

on a side-note the green wire isn't damaged is it?

the damage might be inside (the wire could be broken) the green sheeth!

You might need to test this wire

I will test that.. but first i will wait and see if AmigaZ has a solution ;-)

but if it's not used at all. can i remove it from the case ;-) the only funktion this thing has is the LED's why have an adapter??? why can't it be connected directly to the LED??? seems strange i think?

one more question..

can u use rounder ide cables, i have a few from my pc , in the amiga tower?

and the cdrom , can i change it to any peze dvdrom cdrom??? or is it Amiga specific drives to use?

Hello,

Sorry but from your pictures I see that this is not tower produced
by Elbox.
You need to contact its producer.
We do not know how it was solved in this tower.

BTW. The original Elbox (E/BOX, Power Tower or Winner Tower, Mirage,
D-BOX) cases have always the serial number on the bottom of the case.
See here: http://amiga-hardware.com/download_p...ower_9_big.jpg

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you need further assistance.

Thank you for using Elbox's online support services.

Best regards,

On mine it looks like they have solder the cables on the other side instead of use the adpater on top? let's take of the mess and see whats underneath......
